چکیده

Background: Post hysterectomy vault prolapse is a progressive herniation of the vaginal through urogenital diaphragm and commonly leads to per bulge. Surgically, corrected by sacrocolpopexy which can be done both as an open abdominal surgery laparoscopic repair. Aims Objectives: This study was performed compare therapeutic efficacies sacrocolpopexy. Materials Methods: includes 50 cases prolapsed who underwent previously, admitted in our institution operated during January 2021–June 2022 for period 18 months with We compared basic characteristics, duration surgery, post-operative stay, complications, patient satisfaction between groups. Results: No significant difference observed characteristics patients abdominal-approach group laparoscopic-approach group. The had lower intraoperative estimated blood loss (187.8 vs. 90.3 mL, P<0.001) shorter operative time (148.0 115.3 min, than complication rates two groups were not significantly different. Conclusion: Our Study favorable use approach over treating less invasive method approach.

Laparoscopic sacrocolpopexy for the correction of vaginal vault prolapse.

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE Laparoscopic sacrocolpopexy offers a minimally invasive approach to correcting vaginal vault prolapse. We describe our operative technique and review our experience. PATIENTS AND METHODS A retrospective study of 10 patients who underwent laparoscopic sacrocolpopexy between February 2000 and June 2002 for posthysterectomy vaginal vault prolapse was performed. Data collec...

Laparoscopic sacrocolpopexy versus vaginal sacrospinous fixation for vaginal vault prolapse, a randomized controlled trial: SALTO-2 trial, study protocol

BACKGROUND Hysterectomy is one of the most performed surgical procedures during lifetime. Almost 10 % of women who have had a hysterectomy because of prolapse symptoms, will visit a gynaecologist for a surgical correction of a vaginal vault prolapse thereafter. Vaginal vault prolapse can be corrected by many different surgical procedures. A Cochrane review comparing abdominal sacrocolpopexy to ...

Assessment of the durability of robot-assisted laparoscopic sacrocolpopexy for treatment of vaginal vault prolapse

Transabdominal sacrocolpopexy has been shown, in multiple long-term studies of its success and durability, to be the definitive treatment option for post-hysterectomy vaginal vault prolapse. It is, however, associated with greater morbidity than vaginal repair. We describe a minimally invasive technique for vaginal vault prolapse repair and present our experience with a minimum of one-year foll...
